Our dialect is difficult to understand for Uhies'sche ("Unhiesige" = strangers). But maybe you will discover your joy in another foreign language. We have therefore put together a few pieces of information so that you can talk to the Erzgebirge. For example at the dialect tables "Dialect & Music" of the Erzgebirge Association or at the Erzgebirge dialect days.
If you want to hear how we speak here, you can listen to 8-year-old Hans from Schönheide (on Youtube). The MDR recorded all of this as part of its recordings of dialects in Saxony.
By the way, the Erzgebirge word of the year is chosen every autumn. More on Erzgebirgsverein.de
